About Max

I grew up in the coastal village of Placencia, Belize, sprinting across the sand to chase fish along the shore. The first time I saw a fly rod, I was hooked and knew I had to get one. I spent years practicing, perfecting my cast, and when the time came, I bought a 23-foot boat to pursue Permit, my favorite fish to target.

Over the years, I’ve racked up several Grand and Super Slams and even caught over 10 Permit in a single day. I’ve gotten good at reading fish behavior and figuring out how to convince even the most stubborn Permit to take the fly.

I fish all over the keys of southern Belize but mostly fish out of Placencia, Tarpon Caye, and Tabacco Caye. I can set you up in any location of the locations. Just contact me and let me arrange a perfect fly fishing trip that fits conditions and your needs.
