FAQ

What do you offer?

I offer guided flyfishing trips in Southern Belize. We fish off the Cayes and in the Inner lagoons. We will target Permit, Tarpon, Bonefish, and Snook. If conditions are perfect, we might be able to catch other species in the bluewater. We will be abord the Oliva, a 23' Panga that is fully outfitted with a seat on the casting platform.

What should I bring?

I've had several new anglers on the boat and guided them to success. You probably won't catch a grand slam on your day out on the water but your skills will be improved by the end of the day and hopefully we can put some fish on the boat. I can bring a spinning rod as a backup and we can still catch some fish.

Bring polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, hat, and rain gear. Feel free to bring your own gear but I can provide quality gear - unlike many of my competitors, my fly rods are quality Region fly rods and well maintained so you don't have to hassle with carrying fly rods on a plane.

Typical trips are 8 hours. Lunch and water is provided for the whole trip. I fish the tides so hours do vary with conditions. We will catch at least one tide change. Boat rides can vary depending on conditions. To reach the reef it is a 45-60 minute boat ride. The area is know for lots of flats. Some as close as 5 minutes. I have caught some of the biggest and best Permit, 5 minutes from my house in Placencia.

I can help recommend local accommodations. I'm based in Placencia but we can go stay out in the Cayes and be closer to the most productive flats. A boat ride to the flats is 30-45 minutes. If conditions and times are right, I am one of the few who fishes Tabacco Caye area regularly and we can stay out on the Caye

I'm new to fly fishing. What can we do?

Please note January-June is extremely busy and I can only provide you with best service with a minimum off 5 days as I have other long-term commitments guiding at Tarpon Caye and I must block out the time for you. When you book, you will be asked for a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure the dates. I can accept paypal and zelle or we can make other arrangements.
